Christ Lammfelle Iberica PLUS Bareback pad 

Sheepskin upper in riders seat area and sheepskin under the pad against the horses back. Based on the Spanish saddle this model has large foam pommel and cantle giving security and support. Strong loop at the front of pad to aid balance if required and great for carrying the pad. D rings are positioned on the pad for use of a breast plate and training aids if required.The seat is made entirely of lambskin and has a depth of pile of approx. 30mm. The higher cantle and pommel provide additional stability. Removable padding on the left and right increases the seat comfort and protects the horse's back. It is especially for horses with pronounced withers that the PLUS versions of the bareback riding pads line should be used. You can use this bareback pad with or without stirrups. There is a sewn on D-Ring slot to hang leathers. We recommend using safety stirrups to avoid getting hung up in case of emergency. There are also strong metal D rings to attach stirrups if required to aid balance  All the Bareback pads composite foam shims either side of the spinal canal ensure extra comfort for horse and rider. 
Used with a dressage girth

Girth straps are Leather outer with high-strength webbing core. The leather has been treated so that it is not affected when the pad is washed.

Bareback pads can be machine washed and tumble dried at low temperatures (max 30 degrees) Please always use our C7 sheepskin detergent which has been specially formulated for these products. C7 detergent will protect and prolong the life of the sheepskin, keeping it soft and supple and looking like new.

Pony size pad is suited to children and small adults up to approx UK jeans size 10 (incl)

Full size pad is suited to adults jeans size 10 and above
Pad size does not affect your horse/pony.

Which is the correct seat size?

The size of the bareback pad should be selected primarily by the riders size. Ladies up to clothing size 8/10 (European 40/42) will best fit in PO size, but can also take the WB size, if they have large-sized horses, which could make the PO size look tiny on their horses. But this is a purely aesthetic matter. Ladies 10+ size will find WB size most comfortable. Size WB will also fit smaller horses and ponies. Men should choose size WB size if their sizes are 40/42 or above. 

The pressure is mainly located where you sit and is caused by the bones of your pelvis. Just like riding without a saddle, except that the CHRIST bareback pad protect your horses back via lambskin cushion underneath the saddle, the composite upholstery (padding inside) and the seat's lambskin and together distribute the pressure evenly alongside the horses back. 

Since CHRIST bareback pad do not have a fixed saddle tree, they are ideally suited for every horses' back. Yes, every single one of them. This is particularly helpful if you're fitting a sway backed horse, or extremely short backed horses, or are dealing with symmetry issues. CHRIST bareback pad are a great alternative and often the only way to ride these horses again.

Bareback pad don't have to be fitted, because only soft and very flexible materials are used and nothing hinders or restricts the movements of the horse, therefore, CHRIST bareback pad suit all horses.
